Before I outline tonight’s agenda, a reminder that Ben Kalina will be in Comm Center 101 this Friday (May 1) from noon to 3 p.m. If need be, he said he could stay later.  Your group will get participation credit (see Syllabus) if at least one person is there with content to work on.

Data visualization

David McCandless gave this TED talk recently. Some of it is stuff anyone can do with numbers and a bit of Photoshop skills, such as the Billion Dollar-o-Gram—some took a lot of crunching and programming, such as the organic supplements graphic, which took a month to create a two-page image.

We will return to the Feb. 17th post for our quick visit to Google. At the end of that we will create a map and post it to your Notes page. Get at least 8 pushpins/locations.
